Being Content (qanāʿah) is the quiet peace of the heart, being at ease with what Allah has chosen, without restlessness or constant wanting. It is not about having little or much, but about trusting Allah's decree and finding sufficiency in Him.

Dua Asking for Contentment After Decree
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الرِّضَا بَعْدَ الْقَضَاءِ
Transliteration
Allāhumma innī as'aluka ar-riḍā baʿda al-qaḍā'.
Translation
O Allah, I ask You for contentment after Your decree.
📖 An-Nasā'ī & Aḥmad — ṣaḥīḥ
Tthis feeling is not found before Allah's decree but in accepting it fully after — this Dua trains the heart to meet every outcome with peace and trust in His wisdom.

Dua Asking for Richness of the Soul
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَىٰ وَالتُّقَىٰ وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنَىٰ
Transliteration
Allāhumma innī as'aluka al-hudā wa at-tuqā wa al-ʿafāfa wa al-ghinā.
Translation
O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and richness.

the Prophet ﷺ taught us that true richness is a soul that needs nothing beyond Allah.

Dua Asking Allah for His Favor and Mercy
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَمْلِكُهَا إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Transliteration
Allāhumma innī as'aluka min faḍlika wa raḥmatik, fa innahū lā yamlkuhā illā anta.
Translation
O Allah, I ask You for Your favor and mercy, for none possesses it but You.

A beautiful Dua that grounds the heart in its greatest truth — all favor and mercy belong only to Allah.

📿 Dhikr That Builds Contentment
رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ نَبِيًّا وَرَسُولًا
Transliteration
Raḍītu bi-llāhi Rabban, wa bil-Islāmi dīnan, wa bi-Muḥammadin ﷺ nabiyyan wa rasūlā.
Translation
I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muḥammad ﷺ as my Prophet and Messenger.
The Prophet ﷺ said Allah will be pleased with the one who says this (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 34) — choosing to declare satisfaction with Allah is the deepest act of contentment a heart can make.

لِكَيْلَا تَأْسَوْا عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَلَا تَفْرَحُوا بِمَا آتَاكُمْ
Likaylā ta'saw ʿalā mā fātakum wa lā tafraḥū bimā ātākum.
"So that you do not grieve over what has escaped you, nor exult over what He has given you."
