Prophet Adam
The Father of All Humanity
Adam عليه السلام is the first human being, the first Prophet, and the father of all of humanity. Allah created him with His own hands, breathed His spirit into him, and commanded the angels to prostrate before him — an honour given to no other creation.
He was created from the earth itself — from clay, dust, and water — and then placed in the Garden of Paradise with his wife Hawwa. His story is the story of every human being: a moment of forgetfulness, true repentance, and a mercy from Allah that opens the door of tawbah for all his descendants until the Day of Judgment.
Allah taught Adam the names of all things, making him the first to receive knowledge — a gift that elevated him above the angels. When Adam and Hawwa descended to earth, it was not a punishment without mercy: it was the beginning of the human mission, and a reminder that this world is a test, and that Allah's forgiveness is always near for those who turn back to Him.
