Dua When Feeling Lonely or Needing Comfort
اللَّهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُو، فَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ
Transliteration
Allāhumma raḥmataka arjū, fa-lā takilnī ilā nafsī ṭarfata ʿayn.
Translation
O Allah, I hope for Your mercy. Do not leave me to myself even for the blink of an eye.
📖 Abū Dāwūd 5090 — ḥasan
A Dua that reaches directly for Allah's company — asking Him not to leave you alone even for a single moment. When loneliness weighs heavy, this is where to begin.

Dua Asking Allah Not to Be Left Alone — Prophet Zakariyyā (AS)
رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِي فَرْدًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْوَارِثِينَ
Transliteration
Rabbi lā tadharnī fardan wa anta khayru al-wārithīn.
Translation
My Lord, do not leave me alone, while You are the Best of inheritors.

My Lord, indeed I am in need of whatever good You send down to me.

Said by Prophet Mūsā (AS) in a moment of complete aloneness — exhausted, far from home, with nothing but Allah. He asked simply, and Allah provided everything. So can you.

لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Transliteration
Lā ilāha illā anta, subḥānaka innī kuntu mina-ẓ-ẓālimīn.
Translation
There is no deity except You; glory be to You. Indeed, I was among the wrongdoers.
The Dua of Prophet Yūnus (AS) said from complete isolation — swallowed by darkness, alone, with no one but Allah. He called, and Allah answered. Say it and know: you are never alone (Surah Al-Anbiyā' 21:87).
