Prophet Isa
The Messiah — Born of a Miracle, Raised to Heaven Alive
Isa عليه السلام holds a position unlike any other prophet in the Quran — unique titles, unique miracles, a unique birth, and a destiny that is still unfolding. He is one of the five greatest messengers (Ulul-Azm), called Al-Masih (the Messiah), mentioned by name 25 times in the Quran, and given an entire chapter named after his mother — a woman chosen above all the women of the world.
He was born without a father to Maryam عليها السلام — a miracle that demonstrated Allah's unlimited power to create however He wills. His first act in this world was a miracle: he spoke as a newborn from the cradle, defending his mother's honor with a complete declaration of his servanthood and prophethood. Before he had lived a single day, he had already testified: "I am the servant of Allah."
By Allah's permission, he healed those born blind, cured lepers, raised the dead, created a living bird from clay, and knew what people concealed in their homes. When his enemies plotted to kill him, Allah raised him bodily to heaven — he was not crucified, and he did not die. He is alive in heaven today, and he will return to earth before the Day of Judgment as a just ruler, confirming Tawhid, defeating the Dajjal, and following the Shariah of Muhammad ﷺ. His story is one of the most powerful in the entire Quran.
